EduTrack Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how EduTrack collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the EduTrack mobile application.
Information we collect
- Account information: your name, email address, authentication provider identifier, and optional verified phone number.
- Profile information: an optional profile photo.
- User content: assignments, group tasks, timetable entries, notes, notification preferences, and other content you choose to save in EduTrack.
- Device and notification information: a Firebase Cloud Messaging registration token and related device information needed to deliver notifications.
- Service information: technical authentication and security records created when you sign in or use cloud features.
GPA calculations are performed to provide the calculator feature. EduTrack does not use your information for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
How we use information
We use information to create and secure your account, synchronize your content, provide collaboration and notification features, respond to support requests, prevent abuse, and operate and improve EduTrack.
Service providers
EduTrack uses Google Firebase services, including Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Messaging. If you choose a connected sign-in method, Google or Apple processes the information needed to authenticate you under its own privacy terms. A phone number submitted for phone authentication is sent to and stored by Google for authentication and spam and abuse prevention. These providers process information only as needed to deliver their services.
Data sharing
We do not sell personal information. Content is shared with other EduTrack users only when you intentionally use a collaboration feature, such as joining a group task. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users and the service, or to a service provider operating EduTrack on our behalf.
Retention and deletion
We retain account information and saved content while your account remains active. You can initiate permanent deletion from Settings → Delete Account. Account deletion removes your authentication account, profile, stored personal content, notification tokens, and profile images, except information that must be retained to meet a legal obligation.
Security and international processing
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including authenticated access and encrypted network connections. No system can guarantee absolute security. Information may be processed in countries where our service providers operate, subject to applicable safeguards.
Children
EduTrack is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without appropriate authorization. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information improperly.
Your choices
You can update profile information in the app, disable notifications in Settings or system settings, unlink access by signing out, and permanently delete your account. You may contact us to ask questions about your information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as EduTrack changes. The effective date above identifies the latest version.
